At Kristy Rose Academy of Dance we offer the opportunity to perform in various competitions throughout the year. Members of our competition team are by audition or invitation only, students and their parents are more than welcome to express their interest in being involved in competitions however the decision is at the discretion of the principal.

 

To be eligable to join the competition team, you must attend a minimum of one classical ballet class per week, this ensures you are learning the proper technique to fully enhance all your capabilities. In addition to this, students are encouraged to study most classes to gain experience in multiple genres. A conditioning class is also recommended. 

 

Performing at competitions is a great way to improve your skills and become comfortable on stage, students make lifelong friendships with their fellow competition team mates and receive positive feedback from a variety of industry professionals to encourage progression and growth as a performer.
